Venue - Adelaide Convention
Centre
North Terrace, Adelaide SA 5000
Conveniently located in the Central Business District, the
Adelaide Convention Centre is a short stroll from the Skycity
Adelaide Casino, Rundle Mall shopping precinct and the cosmopolitan
café stretch – Rundle St East. North Terrace,
upon which the Adelaide Convention Centre is located, is also
home to the Botanic Gardens, Art Gallery, South Australian
Museum and State Library.

All delegates must register to attend the Conference.
The registration desk will be located in the entrance Foyer

Dietary and Special Requirements
Should you require any special assistance or dietary requirements
to be made on your behalf, please complete the relevant section
of the registration form. In regards to special dietary requirements,
once at the conference please make yourself known to the waiting
staff.

Temperature & Weather
For the month of October, Adelaide’s mean maximum temperature
is 21°C and the mean minimum is 10°C. Day time temperature
can be warm – with an average of 3 days in the month
over 30°C, but night time temperatures can be quite cool.
October has a mean of 11 days with rain.
Accommodation
Accommodation Booking and Deposit
To make a booking please complete the Accommodation
Booking and Travel Request Form (click
here) or complete the online registration, accommodation
and travel form and forward an amount equal to one night’s
accommodation, to All Occasions Management. Delegates will
then be responsible for settling their final account with
the hotel at check out.
Arrival & Check-out times
Hotel check in time is 2.00pm. To guarantee a room to be available
for an early arrival you will need to book for the night before.
Check out time is strictly 10.00am. Late check out will result
in the hotel’s day rate being charged.
Late Arrivals
Please indicate on your registration form or notify All Occasions
Management in writing if you will arrive at your hotel after
6.00pm. Failure to do so may require that your room be released.
The accommodation deposit will be forfeited should you not
arrive on the date for which you have booked. In this instance,
your subsequent night’s accommodation will be cancelled
and may be re-sold without notice.
Rates
All rates are in Australian dollars, are inclusive of GST
and are for room only unless indicated otherwise. All rates
refer to single, double or twin share unless otherwise indicated.

Alterations or cancellation
Must be sent in writing to All Occasions Management, not to
the hotel. Changes to existing accommodation bookings made
on or after Friday 22 September will incur a $22 processing
fee. Cancellations with less than seven days notice given
may incur a penalty. This is at the discretion of the hotel.

are limited and allocation will be strictly on first-come-first-serve
basis.

Scholarships
A limited number of Australian Asthma Conference scholarships
are now available. Funding is provided by the Australian Government
Department of Health and Ageing. Administration of the scholarships
will be undertaken by the Australian Asthma Conference Executive,
who are commissioned with the task to assist as many eligible
applicants as possible to attend the conference. The scholarships
aim to assist delegates from indigenous populations, rural
and remote areas and other disadvantaged groups to attend
the conference. Wide participation at the conference is encouraged;
students, community workers, researchers, physicians, Aboriginal
health workers and other health professionals are invited
to apply. Funds are available for full registration, day,
half day and breakfast sessions, as well as accommodation
and travel expenses. An itemised budget should be included
in your application.

Local Transport
The Adelaide Airport is situated seven kilometres from the
central business district and major hotels. An Airport City
minibus runs between the airport and major hotels every half
hour from 7.00am – 10.00pm (hourly on weekends) at a
cost of approximately $10.00. A taxi from the airport to the
city is approximately $15.00.

Car Parking
Car parking is available at the Adelaide Convention Centre,
in both the Exhibition Car Park and the Riverbank Car Park.
All day early bird parking is approximately $7.50. Other public
car parks are situated on North Terrace.
