You are invited to
attend the Australian Asthma Conference from 22-24 October
2006 at the Adelaide Convention Centre, South Australia.
The Asthma Conference 2006 promises to be an exciting program
with a holistic approach to asthma management. The program
is dynamic and practical. Speakers will provide insight into
the latest research on the development of asthma, its treatment
and treatment options. Sessions will provide information and
impart skills on issues parallel to asthma including complementary
therapies, the impact of the environment and the physical
affects of asthma.
While we know that asthma is a disease that affects up to
12% of the Australian population and is responsible for around
40,000 hospitalisations each year, there is still so much
to learn. This is a disease that affects young and old, can
occur anytime in a person’s life and can vary in severity
from quite mild, to severe. It can run in families or can
occur without any family history and still, its exact cause
and mechanism is not clearly understood.
The Adelaide conference in 2006 will bring together a rich
pool of resources for the sharing of knowledge in an environment
conducive for debate, discussion and interaction. It will
involve international and local speakers dealing with the
current and future issues surrounding asthma. For 3 days,
an amazing wealth of knowledge is available in one place.
Keep checking this website as updated information will be
posted to this website as known. We look forward to welcoming
you to Adelaide. |
