Picturesque Kangaroo Island is just off the mainland of South Australia, below Adelaide. The island known as “KI” has a vast array of native bushland, wildlife and boasts adventure & exploration. Pristine beaches, local wines and sunsets are on your doorstep.
This workshop held before ANZCOP will cover the latest developments in cold atom physics ranging from many-body physics and quantum simulation to precision measurement, quantum optics and quantum sensing. The program will feature a number of international speakers and will allow ample time for discussion. A key aim of the workshop will be to identify emerging topics for future research and collaboration.
Kangaroo Island is a short flight from Adelaide or a 2 hour bus ride from Adelaide to Cape Jervis and then a 40 minute ferry ride onto the island. The maximum attendees will be 100 people to keep the discussions within a close group. The workshop will be held at the Ozone Hotel, 67 Chapman Terrace, Kingscote, Kangaroo Island, Australia. Accommodation has been secured at the conference venue, or you are welcome to source your own accommodation. It is a busy time of year so if you plan to book your own accommodation, you are encouraged to do this promptly.
